Biography

The Fishermen, originally from Washington DC, started in 1992. The Fishermen first received recognition for their unique musical style in California, touring the Los Angeles music scene with bands such as Maroon 5, AllRise and Pseudopod. The Fishermen have played many notable venues including The Viper Room, Whiskey-A-Go-Go and The Troubadour in Hollywood California. As well as notable D.C. venues like The Velvet Lounge, Staccato Music Hall, and the Clarendon Ballroom.

The music of the Fishermen is a seamless mixture of alternative and folk rock. Although their music can be compared to musicians like Jason Mraz, Dave Matthews, Indigo Girls, or John Mayer… The Fishermen, with their harmonic melodies and acoustic sound, have a musical signature all their own.
